Dacoit lynched

SHILLONG: An angry mob lynched an unidentified dacoit when he along with three of his accomplices attempted to extort money from a person from Gabil-Koksi village in East Garo Hills on November 6.

According to a police report, while the ‘partners in crime’ fled from the scene, the dacoit was caught hold of and beaten to death by the crowd. The body has been sent to Williamnagar Civil Hospital for postmortem.
