Agartala:India’s North-East, Bangladesh should think of creating a tourist circuit that will help in popularising historical plac-es, Tripura Tourism Minis-ter Ratan Bhaumick said.
“There is huge potential for sub-regional coopera-tion between India’s North-East and Bangladesh. It is time that we can think of a tourist circuit encom-passing the neighbouring countries and popularise the places in the areas of sub-regional cooperation, so that a better relation among the people of the region could be develo-ped,” he said  while inaugu-rating the four-day tourism road show “Maitri Tourism 2014.” “Now our relation with neighbouring Bangla-desh is very cordial.
With the given situation, we need to boost tourism between our north eastern region and Bangladesh. The people of the two countries have lingual and cultural affinity,” he said.
The tourism road show was jointly organised by Tripura Tourism Develop-ment Corporation, Bangla-desh Foundation for Tour-ism Development (BFTD) and Bangladesh Inbound Tour Operators Association. President of BFTD, Hakim Ali said.(PTI)
