Dorbar bars illegal entry into mines

SHILLONG: The Dorbar Shnong, Nongtrai Village has informed that that no unauthorized entry into Nongtrai Limestone Mines under Nongtrai Ilaka will be allowed without prior permission of the Headman or Secretary of Nongtrai.

In a statement issued here Nongtrai Village Dorbar also said that Lafarge Umiam Mining Private Limited has all relevant documents and permissions including valid trading and labour licenses for the workers to operate in the lIaka under Nongtrai jurisdiction.

Dorbar made it clear that that the same applies to other companies operating in the area.

“One company, Saumya Mining Limited is in the process of renewal of its documents,” the Dorbar added.
