Modi to make two-day maiden visit to Nagaland from Nov 30

Kohima: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make a two-day maiden visit to Nagaland from November 30, officials said here on Friday.

The Prime Minister will arrive in Nagaland on November 30 and will grace the Hornbill Festival on December 1 as chief guest, the officials said.

A coordination meeting of the top state government officials and the central departments in the state were held at the at the office chamber of the principal secretary and Home Commissioner Nagaland on Friday, they said.

Chairing the meeting, the Home Commissioner Pankaj Kumar called upon all the concerned departments and organizations for coope-ration to provide the best accommodation and a comfortable stay of the Prime Minister and his entourage. He also informed that Myanmar Prime Minister Thein Sein will arrive here on December 3 to take part in the Hornbill Festival. (PTI)
