Second energy centre on subtle body
IN THE desire to manifest itself, the force took various forms, creating beauty. The development of aesthetics was the third step in the evolution of man where he was able to go beyond the limits of his audio-visual sense. For the first time he entered into the obstruct, he could imagine, forecast and conceive of an image without it actually being there. Through this capacity, he was able to develop and further evolve his life style. All these became possible because of the second energy centre, which is known as Swadisthan Chakra. This chakra is placed in the spinal cord around the Nabhi Chakra.
Swadisthan Chakra is the chakra of creativity, pure attention and pure knowledge. It is the one which connects us to the inner source of inspiration and enables us to experience the inner beauty.
The Swadisthan Chakra is divided into two subdivision left and right. The quality of the left Swadisthan is true knowledge. The true knowledge given by this chakra is not mental, but it is direct perception of reality; that can be felt in our palms and indicate our subtle blockage if any. Also this is the centre of pure, steady attention and power of concentration.
On the physical level the second energy centre governs the functions of the kidneys, the liver, the pancreas, the spleen and intestine. When human being thinks too much, this centre gets drained of energy and makes him off balance. When we think, we have to use brain cells, but these cells are to be replaced, this replacement is done through the help of Swadisthan Chakra. Alcohol damages this centre; it creates burning in the liver. The liver throws out heat and every center has its optimum temperature at which it can work efficiently and if there is more heat, it produces fever. It needs release and if it cannot find release, then it starts burning the cells of the organs and retards their functioning. People who have a weaker hot liver cannot meditate because of their scattered attention; without attention there cannot be meditation.
Artificial behavior dulls the sensitivity of the second energy centre. Artificial mannerism is in opposition to the sense of natural beauty and aesthetics, those who try to cast impression end up in depression. Interacting with the world through sincerity gives fulfilment. The ambition to be superior to others or to be acclaimed by them for our intellectual talents emerges from the ego which is connected to the right Swadisthan through the right channel. Spontaneity is lost in the ambitious competitive effort to create and this explains why most modern creation in any aspect of art lacks stability. A poetic expression is vacant thought unless it becomes a channel of living process. The collective consciousness is the life force of all creativity; it is like the sop of the tree, unless its roots are plugged into mother earth at the first centre, it does not flow. This is tremendous potential in people today, but it is not channelled in creativity.
If the creator is realized soul then his work reflects the conscious, such creation becomes a monument, a classic and immortal. For example the painting of Michelangelo in the Sistine chapel and the music of Mozart. A person can achieve self-realization by the method of kundalini awakening ( physio-nuclear energy) in sahaja yoga. After getting self-realization at any sahaja yoga centre and then meditating at the second energy centre, one can balance this energy centre.
