Bodies recovered

On November 22 at about 10.30 am, body of Arun Kumar Mahato (36) was recovered from his residence at Punjabi Line, Mawlonghat, Shillong.

Yet again on the same day, at around 2 pm, one unidentified male body was recovered from Umshyrpi Bridge, Shillong.

Illegal SIM card seized

On November 21, Police arrested one Atosh Nongphud (30), while he was illegally selling SIM cards at Robert Hospital, Jaiaw, Shillong and seized one hundred Aircel SIM cards from his possession.

Shot at

On November 21 at about 2.30 pm, while one Bishar Timung, Remeberme Dkhar and four others were on their way from Sahalein (WJH) towards Barato village (WJH) in one truck (ML-05A-9276), one Markus War and his accomplices shot them with SBBL gun. As a result, Timun and Dkhar sustained injuries and were removed to CH Ialong.

Thefts

Two women identified as Basanti Deb and Viva Paul lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on November 21 at about 11.30 am, unknown miscreants stole gold ornaments and cash Rs. 2,000/- from their residences at Lower Nongrimmaw, Shillong.

Sarita Shukla lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on Nov. 21 at about 1 pm, unknown miscreants stole her purse containing two Debit cards, EPIC and cash Rs. 7,000/-.

Hit and run

On Nov. 21 at about 9.15 pm, one vehicle (number not known) knocked down Polin Lyngdoh (62 yrs) at Mawiong, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Woodland Hospital, Shillong.

Rape attempt

A woman lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that on Nov. 20 around 2.30 pm, one Paul Wahlang attempted to rape her nine year old daughter in her residence at Dymmiew, Lumdiengjri, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.
