Chennai: Indian team suffered their second defeat in two days, losing to fifth seed France in the WSF World Womens Team Squash Championship at Niagara-on-the-lake in Canada on Tuesday.

Reports received here said France won 3-0 in the Group D match to keep its hopes alive of progressing where India needs to win one its next set of matches against Austria or South Africa to stay in the race for a 9-13 position. It was another bleak show from the Indians. Anaka Alankamony started aggressively against World number 40 Coline Aumard but could not cope with the pressure as the contest wore on. Mistakes crept and the French player wrapped it up easily. (UNI)
