U-12 soccer tourney
SHILLONG: Khatarshong and Mawryngkneng Community and Rural Development Blocks football teams have qualified for the State level of the Chief Minister Youth Development Scheme Under-12 Football Tournament after winning the final matches in the girls and boys section which was played at JN Stadium, Polo on Thursday.
In the girl’s final, Khatarshnong defeated Pynursla by 5-0 goals. The goal scorers for Khatarshong girl’s team are B Kharumnuid, Nisila Majaw and Marbarin Nongrum.
Meanwhile, in the boy’s final, Mawrynkneng defeated Pynursla by 4-2 goals. The goal scorers for Mawrykneng are Robinson Mynsong, Emboklang Nongkhlaw, Stevenly Mawthoh and Mebanshan Thabah.Sports Affairs and Youth department director FM Dopth distributed away the prizes to the winners.
