Accidents across Meghalaya

A 407 TATA Truck which left Tikrikilla for Damalassam overturned when the driver lost control of the vehicle on reaching Bollongitok under Tikrikilla Block, West Garo Hills. The incident happened on the December 5 at 2:13 pm.  The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance base in Tikrikilla helped in shifting Newbirth Sangma (15years/male), Sangjeng Sangma (45years/male) and Audit Sangma (35years/male) to Tikrikilla PHC.

A truck (ASOIBC – 9877) which was proceeding towards Guwahati from Silchar overturned and drove off the road and into a paddy filed on the Jowai by-pass at Myntdu under Thadlaskein Block, West Jaintia Hills. The incident happened on December 4 at 7:26 pm. The truck was making space for another vehicle to pass by when it drove off to the side. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance base in Jowai helped in shifting the helper of the truck Lokman Khan (20years/male) to Jowai Civil Hospital.

A Maruti car traveling to Sohwanthiang from Kyllang was involved in a head on collision with a Mahindra pick-up truck at Pamphyrnai under Mawthadraishan Block, West Khasi Hills. The Maruti car fell into a gorge while the pick-up truck overturned. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance base in Nongstoin helped in shifting Skylin Khardewsaw (21years/male) to Nongstoin Civil Hospital. The incident happened on the December 4.

A motorist along with two pillion rider sustained injuries when they fell off the motorbike after it skidded at 8th Mile under Rongram Block, West Garo Hills. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance base in Tura helped in shifting the injured to Tura Civil Hospital.
