SHILLONG: Bacardi NH7 Weekender would soon make its debut in Shillong which has the tag of rock capital of India.

Bacardi NH7 Weekender is a music festival that sees artists from India and around the world perform over multiple stages.

The festival also features art installations, curated food stalls, and an unbeatable vibe that has earned it the tag of “India’s happiest festival”.

Over the years, Bacardi NH7 Weekender has delivered some of the most exceptional live performances and providing the perfect platform for many global and homegrown artists to showcase their new works.

One of the most anticipated music festivals in the Indian calendar, this year Bacardi and Only Much Louder will featured more than 100 bands across six stages in four cities – Pune, Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata with its signature festive spirit.

This year at the Pune festival, the organisers announced the expansion of the music fest to its fifth city, the rock capital of the country Shillong, a region associated with a rich musical population and legacy.

Only Much Louder’s, Chief Executive Officer, Vijay Nair said, “If there is a reason that I am still in music business than it goes back to a trip I took ten year ago travelling the north east of India for a month. From not knowing a single person there to making many many new friends it was an incredible trip. I met Keith Wallang in Shillong and the first thing we spoke about was to put together a music festival in Shillong. We never stopped discussing that all these years, its been a decade now. Shillong may be the fifth city that will see Bacardi NH7 Weekender Live.”

Bacardi NH7 Weekender will host its first edition in Shillong in February next year and since its initiation in 2010, over the years the festival has added various cities such as New Delhi and Bangalore in 2012 and the latest addition, Kolkata in 2013.

Organized by Only Much Louder’s festival division, it  was voted as India’s best music festival  by CNNGo in 2011.

The festival is sponsored by Bacardi.
