Dimchrang Fest begins in Ampati

Ampati: A display of cultural mosaic blended with rendition of ethnic communities – Garo, Rabha, Hajong and Koch – reverberated in the air as the much awaited 2nd edition of Dimchrang Festival with the theme peace and harmony got underway in Ampati, South West Garo Hills on Tuesday.

The music, dance and the vibrant culture of the four communities were on display, as the carnival passed through the main through fare of the town, close to India-Bangladesh international border.
