New Delhi: Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday said the Islamic State (IS) terror group has been banned in India, and congratulated the Indian minorities for discouraging their youth from joining the outfit.

Singh informed the Lok Sabha that the government had taken cognizance immediately after the IS activities began to spread in various parts of the world. Responding to a supplementary question, he said India has already banned the outfit and was monitoring the cyberspace to stop its propaganda. (IANS)
