SHILLONG: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has slammed Article 370 of the Constitution stating that it has divided the people of Jammu and Kashmir into two groups.

Speaking on the topic, “Problems of Jammu & Kashmir and Article 370” here on Tuesday, All India Assistant Organiser, RSS, Arun Kumar also claimed that there are many myths pertaining to J&K which “is not a disputed area.”

“Majority of the people in J&K are nationalists…Kashmiri Sunni Muslims are the crux of the problem. Only Kashmir region of J&K has Muslim majority whereas Ladakh and Jammu have Buddhist and Hindu majority (population) respectively,” Kumar said. Kumar, who was speaking at an event organised by the Shillong Vibhag of the RSS, also termed Article 370 as a political plot which came into existence following the abuse of the Constitution. He also claimed that the implementation of the said Article is a temporary provision for Jammu & Kashmir.
