‘Indescribable honour to perform on X’mas concert’

Singer Rita Ora says it was an ‘indescribable honour’ for her to perform on 33rd annual ‘Christmas in Washington’ concert, attended by US President Barack Obama and his family. The event held on December 14 is a benefit for the Children’s National Health System, reported Billboard. Ora, 24, posted a photo of herself with Obama, his wife Michelle and daughters, Malia and Sashaon the stage in Instagram and captioned it, “Indescribable honour michelleobama.” “Ok I can’t help it little sneak peak of my face before walking on the Obama stage. My legs were like jelly!! Thank you Audrey Hepburn for the inspiration!!,” she added. (PTI)

Mariah Carey gets emotional during performance

Pop dive Mariah Carey got emotional during her first of six holiday concerts. The songstress took to the stage in a bejewelled red gown, where she sang her holiday hits including ‘All I Want for Christmas’ and ‘Here Comes Santa Claus’, reported Us magazine. At one point, Carey, 44, unexpectedly lost a shoe but continued singing as she clutched her heel in one hand and a gold microphone in the other. The most poignant moment from the show, entitled ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You: A Night of Joy and Festivity’, was when the mother of two sang her trademark 1993 ballad ‘Hero’. (PTI)

Older women dating younger men is no big deal: Lopez

Lopez may have dated younger men in the past, the singer-actress said she doesn’t like being labelled as a cougar. The 45-year-old songstress, who broke up with toyboy lover Casper Smart in June, recently opened up about being romantically involved with men many years younger than her, and admitted it is “no big deal”, reported Contactmusic. “All the old cliches about women need to be undone. Enough already. We’re in the other position now. We are desirable older, we can date younger guys and it’s not this big taboo.(PTI)
