SHILLONG: The KSU’s South West Khasi Hills unit has decided to intensify its agitation by holding night road blockade on December 26 and 29 protesting the State government’s failure to place Weiloi to Rangblang road project in the ‘priority list’ of the NLCPR.
The night road blockade will be effective from 7 pm to 5 am of the following day.
“We have decided to intensify our agitation since the Government has failed to respond to our demand,” KSU South West Khasi Hills general secretary Forwardman Nongrem said in a statement here on Monday.
The road project was scrapped, based on the recommendation of the Chief Minister in the 118th meeting of NLCPR committee.
