Murder
M. Hardi A. Sangma lodged a complaint at Ampati PS that on December 21, unidentified miscreants shot dead Janison D. Marak (45 yrs) near his house at Boldamgre Songgital village (SWGH).
Assault
On December 25 at about 7.30 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted Hopi Kharshiing (22) at Tyrsad village (EKH). Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.
Attempted theft
On December 24, unknown miscreants broke into the SBI ATM booth at Tikrikilla (WGH) and removed the ATM vault with an intention to commit theft. Later, the ATM vault was recovered from a place on the way to Similabari.
Amit Kumar Yadav lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on the night of December 21, unknown miscreants attempted to commit theft and also damaged the cash cabin of Bank of Baroda, ATM Booth at New Hill, Jowai (WJH).
