SHILLONG: Two persons died when they accidentally fell into a stone quarry at Pillangkata in Ri Bhoi District on December 23.
Police informed that the incident happened at about 12:30 pm when Md. Nesar Ali (20) and Md. Hasan Ali (27) accidentally fell down while they were working in a stone quarry at Maikhuli under Pillangkata outpost.
While Md. Hasan Ali died on the spot, Md. Nesar Ali succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.
