Rape

On December 23 at around 3.30 am, one Arjun Rympei (19) broke into the house of a woman (32 yrs) at Umden Nongtluh (RB) and raped her. Police arrested the accused.

Molestation

attempt On December 26 at around 6 pm, an unidentified person outraged the modesty of a young girl at Police Bazar, Shillong.

Theft

On the morning of December 27, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-05J-3670) belonging to Kynsaiborlang Jyrwa from Lyngiong, Umkabah under Mawngap OP (EKH).

On December 27 at around 6.35 am, one Raplang Paswet stole four aluminum window frames from the residence of Hansel H Shabong at Lower Lachumiere, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.

The Executive Engineer, BSNL (Electrical Div), Shillong lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on December 26, the security guards of CTO Complex, Shillong caught red handed one minor boy (14) while he was stealing pipes from the CTO Complex. In this connection, Police also arrested two more accused– Ashok Chettri and a minor (17).

Shekhar Bhattacharjee lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on December 26, unknown miscreants broke into his residence at Lumsohkynphor, Polo Hills, Shillong and stole Rs. 21,000.

On December 23, unknown miscreants stole 18 batteries belonging to M/s Aircel Telecommunication from a mobile tower at Dawagittingre (EGH).

Body found

On December 25, the body of a male (65) was recovered from near Garobadha Rice Market (WGH). Cadaver was sent to CH Tura for PM.

Assault

On December 25 at around 6 am, two miscreants in a motorcycle (number not known) assaulted Sonaki Kyndiah (56 yrs) near Shillong Club. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.

On December 24 at around 3.30 pm, one Saty Masi assaulted Kuso Masi (62) at Mawlonghat, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
