4 held for attempting to set ablaze Adivasi village

Guwahati: Four persons were arrested on Sunday for allegedly trying to set ablaze an Adivasi village in Assam’s Kokrajhar district.

A large group of Bodo people attempted to set on fire Adivasi village Damru-guri under Serfunguri police station, IGP L R Bishnoi said. To prevent the arson, police fired in the air and arrested four persons, Bishnoi said, adding no person was injured in the firing. (PTI)
