Air Marshal Deo takes charge of EAC

SHILLONG: Air Marshal SB Deo, AVSM VM VSM took over as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Air Command, IAF on Thursday. He was presented with Ceremonial Guard of Honour by Air Warriors of HQ EAC on assuming Command.

A Fighter Combat Leader and a qualified flying instructor, Air Marshal SB Deo was commissioned in the Fighter Stream on 15 June, 1979.

The Air Marshal has tenanted various important staff and field appointments during his service career spanning over 35 years. Prior to taking over as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Air Command, IAF he was Director General Air (Operations) at Air HQ.

For his distinguished service to the nation, he was awarded the Presidential awards of Ati Vishist Seva Medal, Vayu Sena Medal and Vishist Seva Medal.
