One knocked down

On January 2 at around 5 am, one vehicle (number not known) knocked down Fulstar Swer (25) at Mawkdok (EKH). Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.

On January 1, one Maruti car (ML-05J-4725) driven by Baiateilang Suna (21) knocked down Darimetre Langstang (11) at Laitumkhrah, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Nazareth Hospital.

On January 1 at about 8.30 pm, one Tata Sumo (number not known) knocked down Herberstar Kharrngi at Lyngiong (EKH). Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.

On January 1 at about 12.10 am, one motorcycle (ML-05K-5617) ridden by Ronald A Nongbri knocked down Lapdiang L. Marshillong (21) near Grand Hotel, GS Road, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.

One injured

L. Nongbet of 4th Mile, Upper Shillong lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that on January 1, Wanbiang Nongbet sustained burnt injuries. It is suspected that her husband Charles Lyngkhoi, who is absconding, is involved in the incident.

Assault

On January 1 at about 12.30 am, unidentified miscreants stabbed Arun Gautam with a sharp weapon at Law-u-Sip, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.

On December 31 at about 9 pm, one Yeikibok Papang attacked Keilang Sungoh with a knife at Biar village (WJH). Victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Civil Hospital Ialong.

One molested

On January 1 at about 6 am, one Blestar Tynsong (30) molested one 11-year-old girl at Wahkhen, Pynursla (EKH). Matter is under enquiry.

Attempted rape

A woman lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that during her absence on December 29 at about 3 pm, her husband Leonard Phawa attempted to rape her 8-year-old daughter at Ladthalaboh, Jowai (WJH).

Brawl

Robin Upadhya lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on January 1 at around 3 am, a brawl took place between Rama Kant Deb, Surajit Rabha and Salil Deb Barma inside the staff quarter of City Hut Dhaba, Shillong. As a result, Salil Deb Barma sustained injuries and was removed to Nazareth Hospital, Shillong. Police arrested both the accused persons.

Theft

Christine Khongwir lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on December 31, unknown miscreants stole Rs. 30,000 from North East Diagnostic Centre, Malki, Shillong.

NGT ban violation

Ramesh Singh, Additional SP, North Garo Hills lodged a complaint at Dainadubi OP (NGH) that on December 30 during his surprise checking, he detected four over-loaded coal trucks AS-18C-1436, AS-18A-3239, AS-18A-4346 and AS-18C-3992 went for unloading the excess coal at designated Momin Weigh Bridge on NH-62. Later, when the trucks were weighed again, the load was still beyond the limit prescribed by NGT.

Illegal sale

John Gilbert M Sangma, Sub-Inspector of Supply, West Garo Hills, Tura lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on December 30 while he along with his staff and Police were on checking duty at Daren Agal (WGH), they detected one Silverius Ch. Marak selling petrol illegally without permission. Police seized 30 litres of petrol from his possession.

Tumbu Ch Marak, Sub-Inspector of Supply, West Garo Hills, Tura lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on December 30 while he along with staff and Police were on checking duty at Chitoktak (WGH), they detected one Tantan Ch Momin selling petrol illegally without permission. Police seized 130 litres of petrol from his possession.

P R Sangma, Executive Magistrate, West Garo Hills, Tura lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on December 30 while he along with staff and Police were on checking duty at Dakopgre area (WGH), they detected one Tharmit Ch Marak selling petrol illegally without permission near Daki Bandi Stadium.

Fraud

Pratima Rani Das of Power Grid, Lapalang, Shillong lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on December 26, she received a call in her cell phone, in which the caller identified himself as Pratap Kumar, employee of SBI ATM Card Division, Kolkata and asked about her ATM details. Later, she found that Rs. 49,990 has been fraudulently withdrawn from her account.

Albert Chiang of Rngi Jynriew, Nongthymmai lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on October 26, 2014, unknown miscreants fraudulently used his credit card and made unauthorized payment of Rs. 4,925.

Anil Kumar, Subedar Major, Recruiting Officer (HQ), Shillong, 101 Area lodged a complaint at Madanrting PS that one candidate Ranjit Kumar submitted fake documents during the recruitment rally (August 22 to 28, 2014) at 58 GTC, Happy Valley, Shillong.

Threat

Wanki Lamare lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on December 24 at about 12 noon, his nephew Dameshwa Lamare attempted to assault him and also threatened him with dire consequences at Dulong, Jowai (WJH).

Accident

On December 23 at around 3.40 pm, one City Ride Bus (ML-08A-9097) dashed against one Motorcycle (ML-08A-4293) ridden by Basan Sangma at Goramara, Garobadha (WGH). As a result, the rider sustained injury and was admitted at Civil Hospital Tura, where he succumbed to his injuries the same day.

ATM damaged

On December 22, unknown miscreants damaged the SBI ATM monitor at Rynjah Bazar, Shillong.
