PM to inaugurate Indian Science Congress in Mumbai today

Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugu-rate the 102nd Indian Scie-nce Congress here today.

Nobel laureates, noted scientists as well as academics of global repute are scheduled to participate in the event hosted by Mumbai University, its Vice Chancellor Rajan Welukar said. The theme of the event, which will conclude on January 7, is ‘Science and Technology for Human Development,’ Welukar said. The inaugural session and main sessions would be held at the Kalina campus of the Mumbai University.

The five-day event is expected to be attended by around 12,000 delegates, he said. (PTI)
