Superstar Jennifer Aniston has revealed that she does not pay interest to the constant media attention focused on her personal life.

Aniston, 45, who is engaged to actor Justin Theroux, said feigning ignorance is the best way to deal with the media, reported Contactmusic.

“Just don’t pay attention. I think I used to. There was a period where I was hell-bent on saying, ‘That’s not true, that’s not right, that’s not fair.’ “And now I just think you have to let it roll off your back and you realise, I think everyone knows it’s all BS and, like, soap opera on paper,” she said.

Aniston also criticised the press for their sexist approach to her personal life as there is a focus on if she’ll marry or have children.

“Is it because women are supposed to be mothers and procreate?. And if you are someone who has a career, that must mean that you are so focused on the career that you say, ‘Screw everything else,’ when that’s obviously not the case? We just happen to be fortunate enough to work, and we know that it can coexist. So I don’t know why that pressure is put on women more than men.”

I don’t find it painful: Jennifer Aniston on Brad Pitt divorce

Jennifer Aniston has revealed that she did not find the divorce from ex-husband Brad Pitt painful. Aniston was married to Pitt for close to five years, reported Us magazine.

“I don’t find it painful. I think it’s a narrative that follows you because it’s an interesting headline. It’s more of a media-driven topic,” she said.

When asked whether she still keeps in touch with Pitt, 51, Aniston said, “We’ve exchanged good wishes an all that sort of stuff to each other, but it’s not a constant thing.”

The former ‘Friends’ star is currently gearing up for awards season where her role in the independent drama ‘Cake’ is already getting plenty of buzz.

“I really was just ready to disappear and really go into the depths of a character,” she said. (PTI)
