Assault

Ekihun Chullet lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on Dec. 30, 2014 at about 11 am, one Stephan Rymbai went to his residence at Mihmyntdu (WJH) and asked for a loan of Rs. 10 lakhs from him. However, when the complainant refused, Stephan Rymbai assaulted and stripped him of his clothes.
On January 6 around 9.30 am, unidentified miscreants assaulted Ukil Das at Mawiongrim, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong, Matter is under inquiry.

Unidentified body

On January 6 around 9.30 am, one unidentified male person collapsed at Civil Hospital Campus, Shillong and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong where the MO on duty declared him brought dead. Necessary formalities were observed. Matter is under inquiry.
On January 6, one unidentified male dead body (40/45) was recovered from roadside near Anjalee Petrol Pump, Shillong. Cadaver was sent to Civil Hospital Shillong for PM examination and matter is under inquiry.

Injured man found

On January 5 around 4 pm, Lurshai Swer (24) was found lying at Mawlonghat, Shillong with head injuries. He was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.
Minor allegedly raped
On January 5 around 3 pm, one Jemeson Kharbangar (23) allegedly raped a five-year-old girl at Smit (EKH). Police arrested the accused.

Theft

On January 1 night, unknown miscreant stole one SBBL gun (No. 6068) belonging to Abdul Satter from his house at Sidakandi village (WGH).
Ratan Ch. Hajong lodged a complaint at Songsak PS that on Dec. 25, 2014, unknown miscreants stole 48 batteries from a mobile tower belonging to M/s Airtel Telecommunication at Chinabat Bazar (EGH). Matter is under inquiry.
On January 5 around 7 pm, unknown miscreants stole one cell-phone from Vaisha Kangosh at Vishal Mega Mart, Shillong.
Thief nabbed
Dr. J.S. Jyrwa of AH & Veterinary Hospital, Shillong lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that on January 4 around 4.30 pm, one Shan Pyrbot was caught red handed while he was stealing electrical equipments from Veterinary Office, Lumdiengjri, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.

Shooting incident

Welcome Dkhar lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on January 3 around 7.30 pm, unidentified miscreants shot at Welfare Sympli at Khliehriat West (EJH). Victim sustained injuries and was admitted at CHC Khliehriat.

Accident

On January 3 around 6 pm, one tempo (ML-08C-9840) dashed against one truck (ML-09-3938) at Thatalbari under Ampati PS (SWGH). As a result, three occupants of the tempo sustained injuries and were removed to CHC Mankachar (Assam) where one of the injured victims Shah Alom succumbed to his injuries.
Looting
On January 2 around 7 pm, three unidentified armed miscreants went to the residence-cum-shop of Diret Disiar at Phud Bhowal village (EKH) and looted Rs.30,000 after assaulting him. Victim sustained injuries. In this connection, Police arrested one Noel G Momin (25).

Fake documents recovered

During investigation of Williamnagar PS Case of Kidnapping of minor girl, Police recovered the following fake documents from the house of the accused person of the case viz., Rasu N. Marak at Kusimkolgre-C (EGH): (1) one EPIC in the name of Nbia N. Marak with the photograph of one Rasu N. Marak, (2) two Nokma certificates in the names of Uba N. Marak & Nbia N. Marak, (3) one account opening form in the name of Nbia N. Marak and (4) Electoral Revision Form-12 in the name of Nbia N. Marak.
