Theft

Surjya Saikia lodged a complaint at Madanrting PS that on January 7 at around 3 pm, unknown miscreants stole batteries, copper cables, etc., valued around Rs. 2,44,000/- from a mobile tower belonging to M/s Reliance Telecommunications at Laitkor.

Forgery

Dr. (Mrs) Rosa Mystica Lamare, DM & HO, Lower Lachumiere, Shillong lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on January 7 at around 6 pm, one Olivia Bareh forged her signature while applying for loan from Syndicate Bank, Laitumkhrah Branch.

Kidnapping

On January 7 at about 7.30 am, four unidentified armed miscreants waylaid one Bolero pick-up (AS-18C-4174) driven by Rimku Ali at Dambo Watesa (EGH) and abducted four ginger traders viz., Molibul Hussain, Bojon Saha, Ajeis Ali and Sorkar Ali all of Krishnai, Assam.

Accident

On January 7 at around 9 pm, an accident took place between one Maruti Alto car (ML-06-3834) driven by John R Lyngdoh (26) and one scooter (ML-09A-1468) ridden by Anup Chakravarty (40) at Polo, Shillong. As a result, the rider of scooter sustained injuries and was removed to CH Shillong.
