Actress Shraddha Das,     who is currently     shooting for Hindi-Telugu bilingual “Haunting of Bombay Mills”, says the release of erotic thriller “Zid” has benefited her career in Bollywood.
“I think the release of ‘Zid’ boosted my career in Bollywood. I’ve been get-ting lot of offers,” Shraddha told IANS. “Haunting of Bombay Mills”, which is being directed by Ayush Raina, sees Shraddha pla ying two different charac-ters in the Hindi and Telugu versions of the film.
“While I play a CEO in the Telugu version, I’m a journalist in the Hindi version. It’s exciting and challenging at the same time because I think I’ll be the first actress to play two different roles in the same film,” she said. Actor Vikram earlier played two charac-ters in Mani Ratnam’s “Raavan”.
Inspired by some real life incidents, “Haunting of Bombay Mills”, according to Shraddha, will send chills down the spines of the viewers.
“It’s about Mukesh Mills, which is known to be one of the most haunted places in Mumbai. The film tries to reveal why this place is haunted,” she said.
“I don’t know for sure if we’re going to shoot in Mukesh Mills. I think we might eventually, as the story is about that place. But we’ve been told that even if we decide to shoot, we can’t do it there after 6 p.m. I’m sure people in Mumbai particularly will love this film as it’s about a place in their city,” she added.
This happens to be Shraddha’s fifth horror film, and ironically, she’s scared of horror stories. “If we happen to shoot in Mukesh Mills post 6 p.m., I think I won’t be able do it.(IANS)
