Triple murder

Rockwell Sutnga lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on January 18 at about 8:30 pm, unknown miscreants murdered his three employees Majan Boro, Pramal Medhi and Jhuller Brahma at Tilkar, Elaka Sutnga (EJH).

Elephants trample man

On January 17 around 1 pm, wild elephants trampled to death Raknang D Shira (21) of Wageasi village at Gairong Agitok Forest (NGH).

Suspected murder

Ganesh Tamang lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that his son Vivek Tamang had gone missing since January 14, 2015. On January 17, the body of his son was recovered near a river at Umlawang village (EJH). The complainant suspected that one Ram Rai and one Biswakarma had murdered his son.

One dead in mishap

On January 14 around 6 pm, one Bolero Pick-up (ML-10-1646) driven by Sengban Momin met with an accident at Dollonggre (WGH). As a result, nineteen occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries and were rushed to CH Tura, where one of the injured victim Gabriel Marak (52) succumbed to his injuries, while another victim Prodipson Sangma (38) was referred to GNRC Guwahati. A criminal case has been registered in this connection.

Cheating

Eleazer Gatphoh lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that in the month of July 2014, one Ravi Shankar took Rs.1,20,000 from his (complainant) mother, with a promise to provide her with a local taxi permit from DTO, Shillong. However, till date he has neither provided the permit nor was receiving her phone calls.
One woman lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that in December 2014, she received an e-mail from Quikr.com offering her a job and when she contacted the company she was instructed to deposit money for the job. On January 2, 2015, she deposited Rs.5,000 in the account of one Amit Kumar. Later, she realized that she has been cheated.
Camy G. Shylla lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that one Eva Pakyntein stole one SBI cheque from her residence at Laitumkhrah, Shillong. On January 12, the accused forged her (complainant) signature and submitted the cheque at SBI Laitumkhrah Branch for withdrawing money. However, the SBI staff refused to make any payment.

Accident

On January 19 at about 7:30 pm, one Mahindra Scorpio (ML-04-4165) driven by Ranjit Singh Chettri knocked down one minor boy Sainkupar Lyngkhoi at Jingkieng Mawlai, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On January 19 at about 5 pm, Damonstar M. Syiem (34) fell from an electric pole, while he was working near St. Edmund’s School, Shillong. As a result, he sustained injuries and was shifted to NEIGRIHMS.

Assault

Kolinus Tariang of Umkiang (EJH) lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on January 19 around 9:20 am, unidentified miscreants assaulted his employee Prossanjit Das, causing injuries to him.

Vehicle missing

On January 19 morning, one tourist taxi (AS-01E-1388) driven by Sukhdev Basumatary (30) left Shillong for Guwahati. Later, the vehicle along with the driver was reported missing.

Threat/ assault

Dralin Khonglam (28) lodged a complaint at Pynursla PS that on January 19 around 1:30 pm, her husband Balajied Khongwet armed with lethal weapons, dragged her towards the jungle at Nongblai village (EKH) and threatened her with dire consequences. When her mother Khrim Khonglam (47) intervened, the accused assaulted her. Victims sustained injuries and were removed to Civil Hospital Shillong. Police arrested the accused.

Theft

On January 18 at about 6 pm, unknown miscreants stole one scooter (AS-25B-3312) belonging to Debojit Nath from Police Bazar, Shillong.
On January 17 around 1 am, unknown miscreants broke into the shop of Emboklang Phawa at New Hill, Jowai (WJH) and stole Rs.38,000.
On January 17 around 3 am, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08C-5340) belonging to Rupon G Momin from Hawakhana, Tura (WGH).

Thieves nabbed

Benedict Sangma lodged a complaint at Mawsynram PS that on January 16 around 10 am, residents of Pataghat village (EKH) apprehended two persons Salseng N Marak and Ideal Marak while they were stealing two heads of cattle from the village.
On January 16 night, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08B-8579) belonging to Gentle N Marak from Hawakhana, Tura (WGH).

Account hacked

Manlison Sangma lodged a complaint at Bajengdoba PS that on January 16 around 12:10 pm, unknown miscreants fraudulently withdrew Rs.20,000 from his bank account.

Fake documents

Kaimuddin, driver of truck (AS-01BC-8914) lodged a complaint at Dainadubi OP that on January 16, he purchased P-Form for Rs.14,500 from two unidentified persons who were travelling in one Maruti Gypsy (ML-06-2211). Later, it transpired that the P-Form was fake.
