Agartala:CPI-M Tripura state committee today alleged that Narendra Modi led NDA government at the centre has disgraced the stature of Indian Repu-blic inviting US President Barak Obama as chief guest in Republic Day parade.
Party Spokesperson Goutam Das stated that Modi dishonoured the freedom fighters of India who fought against imperialists where America had also a role and said: “US is the biggest enemy of humanity now and inviting US president in Republic Day, BJP once again proved their anti-Indian sentiment.”
“US is the exporter of terrorism across the world and Northeast India is still facing challenge of insurgency only because of CIA. Modi wants to increase the unrest further in India’s troubled region by coming closure to Obama, which we never accept,”  Das alleged.
He however, pointed out that Modi has his political agenda to execute Indo-US nuclear deal, had been signed during 1st UPA regime. As part of it, Modi has allowed 49% foreign direct investment in Indian defense and insurance to pave the way of US interest.
“BJP and it’s predecessor Jansangha doesn’t have any contribution to India’s freedom movement. Rather they always prefer to remain with the interest lobby and now after winning election, BJP aggressively pursuing it’s agenda violating pro-people, secular and democratic framework of the Constitution,” he added.
As part of nationwide program, Tripura CPI-M will also organized protest demonstrations across the state on January 24 against Obama’s India visits and attend Republic Day parade. (UNI)
