Saina reaches World No 3, Sindhu back in top 10

New Delhi: Ace Indian shuttlers Saina Nehwal and P V Sindhu rose to the third and ninth spots respectively but K Srikanth slipped to world number five in the latest BWF rankings issued on Thursday.
Saina, who is currently busy defending her title at the Syed Modi International tournament, climbed one place to be at number three. She is behind Chinese duo of Li Xuerui and Shixian Wang with 71081 points in her kitty.
Two-time World Championship bronze medallist P V Sindhu was also back in the top 10 as she jumped two places to regain her position inside the top 10 with 57985 points. Srikanth, who climbed upto world number four after his stupendous performances last year, has 59397 points under his belt. Among other Indians, Parupalli Kashyap and H S Prannoy also improved one and two places respectively to reach the 15th and 18th place in the world ranking. Ajay Jayaram climbed 20 places to be at the 44th place. (PTI)
