Pune FC beat Bengaluru FC 3-1

Bengaluru: Pune FC beat defending champions Bengaluru FC 3-1 in a second round encounter of the Hero I-League Football Tournament at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium here, today.
For Pune FC, Darko Nikac (9th min), Luciano Sabrosa (25th min) and Raju Yumnam (82nd min) were the scorers.
For the home team, Eugeneson Lyngdoh (90th min) pulled one back.
The match was completely dominated by Pune FC, who played brilliant football by creating fine build-ups and scripting good moves to score at crucial points of the match.
With this convincing win, Pune has climbed up to the second position in the league table with four points from two games while Bengaluru is placed seventh with one draw and a loss.
They drew with Dempo Football Club in their previous encounter.
The opening goal came through Darko Nikac, who caught the opposition defence napping as early as ninth minute.
Luciano Sabrosa scored the second goal in the 25th minute when he converted a header via indirect free-kick.
In 82nd minute, Raju Yumnam latched onto an assist and finished it off in style. (PTI)
