Missing
Bikram Das lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on December 18, his brother Bijoy Das left Shillong for Dimapur along with other passengers in a vehicle (ML-05L-3452) and informed him that he had safely reached Dimapur on December 19. However, since then his whereabouts was not known.
Assault
On January 28 at about 3.30 pm, one Alfred Ryngsiat assaulted his wife Rupa Khongsngi (48) at Ryngud village (EKH). As a result, victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CHC Sohra.
Md. Nur Mohamad Sheikh lodged a complaint at Mahendraganj PS that on January 28 at around 7 am, one Md. Ghunu Sheikh damaged windowpanes of his house and also attempted to murder his family members at Julapara village (WGH). Police arrested the accused.
Molestation attempt
A woman and others lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on January 28, the Manager of M/s Amrit Cement Ltd., one Gagen attempted to assault and outrage their modesty in his office at Thangskai (EJH).
Threat
Gagen, Senior Manager of M/s Amrit Cement Ltd., lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that on January 28, labourers of the Company L Pala,. B Bamon and others entered his office, damaged office materials and threatened him with dire consequences.
Eve teasing
Predinath Sangma lodged a complaint at Rongjeng PS that on January 22 at around 3.30 pm, one Minjeng Momin eve teased and assaulted Selpina D Sangma at Rongchek Akong (EGH). The victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Rongjeng CHC. Police arrested the accused.
Ransom
Wahedur Rahman of Belbari (WGH) lodged a complaint at Phulbari PS that on January 7, unknown persons hired one vehicle (ML-08-1268) driven by his brother Jabedur Rahman for Rongkhon (WGH). On January 9 at about 9.30 am, he received one anonymous call demanding Rs. 30 lakh and again on January 11, the same caller demanded Rs. 20 lakh.
