Three dead in mishaps

SHILLONG: Two persons died on the spot while two others sustained serious injuries when a tourist vehicle rammed into an oil tanker at Mawiong Umjapung at around 10 pm on Thursday.
The driver of the tourist vehicle (ML05H – 4727) Ajay Pradhan (25) and a passenger Donny Shullai (25) died on the spot while two others – Dudai Shullai (25) and Kyntu Mi O Shullai (23) – sustained injuries and were shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital.
In another incident, one Francis Songthiang died when he fell into a gorge at Thangbaiang in East Khasi Hills District on Wednesday. He was brought to Nazareth Hospital, Shillong, where he succumbed to his injuries.
