SHILLONG: The Meghalaya State BJP Unit has urged the Congress-led MUA government to invite all militant outfits for talks to ensure peace in the State.
While slamming the State Government for the law and order situation prevailing in the State, BJP’s Meghalaya Unit general secretary, Dipayan Chakraborty said that faulty management has led to a critical situation in the Garo Hills region of the State.
“They are our people and all of them must be invited to come across the table for talks,” Chakraborty said adding that the State Government should take steps at the earliest to contain militancy.
