TURA: Lending a new twist to the killing of one of its cadres by a combined team of police and Cobra Commandos near Soba Jambal Village in North Garo Hills on Monday morning the AMEF has claimed that the slain cadre, Sengrak S Sangma aka Andalao Matgrik survived the encounter but was shot dead only later.
While the claim seems to be a tall one with North Garo Hills Police Chief, J F K Marak refuting it, according to the outfit the slain cadre was merely hit on the thigh and later executed after necessary information was extracted from him.  While strongly reacting to the claim the police chief rubbished it terming it as a mere propaganda.
“How can they claim to have sources who witnessed the incident when it all happened in the middle of the jungle? They had all run away during the encounter so who are their sources,” Marak said while refuting the claim.
