Clean drinking water for Shillong district jail inmates

SHILLONG: A “state-of-the-art clean drinking water project” was inaugurated by DGP Prisons, Prem Singh at the Shillong District Jail premises on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Deeya Singh Rathore, president, CHANGE.NGO.ORG, a newly-formed NGO, which sponsored the drinking water filter system for the inmates of the jail thanked the DGP, Prisons and the Shillong District Jail authorities for allowing CHANGE.NET.ORG to start their maiden venture from the jail premises.
DGP Prisons, while lauding the efforts of the newly-formed NGO informed that the inmates would benefit hugely from the clean drinking water that was now available to them.
