NGT ban violation
On February 12 around 3.30 pm, Police detected one truck (AS-01-AC-5856) driven by Farook Ali (23) at Mawngap (EKH) while transporting coal in violation of NGT Order.
Threat
Nashirul Hoque lodged a complaint Tura PS that on February 11, unidentified persons went to his shop at Tura Bazar (WGH), demanded Rs. 2,000/- and threatened him with dire consequences.
Murder
On February 11 at around 1.30 pm, one Ram Dhar murdered Treibor Hinge at Behkhla Nangbah village (WJH). Police arrested the accused.
Sexual assault
One lady lodged a complaint at Madanrting PS that on February 10 at around 4 pm, one eleven-year-old boy sexually assaulted her five-year-old daughter at Umphyrnai (EKH).
Assault
Sengbin Sangma, Sirdar of Maodamgre village (NGH) lodged a complaint at Bajengdoba PS that on February 10 at about 7 am, unidentified miscreants fatally assaulted one person (name not known) and also burnt down his motorcycle (AS-01-4194) at the village.
On February 9 at around 4 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted Deperson Sangma, Security Guard of M/s BSCPL Infrastructure Ltd., at Betasing (SWGH).
On February 8 night, five persons– Sambaru Ray, Sachin Ray, Santush Ray, Manoj Ray and Jiban Ray– armed with iron rods and bamboo sticks assaulted Ranjay Modok at Raypara (WGH) causing injuries to him. Police arrested two of the accused Sambaru Ray and Manoj Ray.
Fraud
Vishwajeet Kumar lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on February 10, unknown persons had made fraudulent online purchase from M/s 97-Communication Pvt. Ltd., Delhi through his net banking.
Theft
Ronggan D Sangma lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on Jan 28 he bought one second hand motorcycle for Rs. 41,000 from one Rafiqul Islam. Later, he realized that the motorcycle was stolen from Silgrak Arengh from Matchakolgre, Tura (WGH).
Knocked down
On January 26, one Bolero pick-up vehicle (ML-04B-9206) knocked down Hermon Tynsong and Yearly Lamare at Lailong (EJH). As a result, victims sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital Jowai.
