Implementation of Central scheme: Purno meets district officials

RESUBELPARA: Tura MP Purno Sangma, accompanied by former MPs, Agatha Sangma and Thomas Sangma and Jimmy Momin, a member of the Vigilance and Monitoring Committee, held a meeting with the district administration and the heads of various Government departments of North Garo Hills at Resubelpara Circuit House to discuss the implementation of Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna on February 12.
Highlighting the benefits of SAGY, Sangma, explained in brief the idea of conceptualization of the villages and their people including North Garo Hills that falls under this new scheme and asked the departments to prepare village development plan within a week’s time for which the Deputy Commissioner will seek the technical support from the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD).
Sangma also informed that Achugre village under Mendudam Gram Sevak circle had been projected as the model village under SAGY in the district.
