Lady Gaga’s 1600-hour Oscar dress

Pop sensation Lady Gaga’s white gown at Oscar Awards     took 1600 hours to make. The ‘Applause’ hitmaker     stood out on the red carpet at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles in her white crystal-embellished gown, which she’d accessorised with red gloves. And she took to her Instagram account on Sunday evening to share with her fans how long the stunning dress took to make. She wrote alongside a photograph of her on the red carpet. “I will never forget tonight. #Oscars thank you Azzedine Alaia for this stunning piece. It took 1600 hrs of embroidery and 25 people in Paris, he’s never before made a dress for the Oscars. “What an honor. The gloves were hand dyed Crimson, baby orchid blooms hand painted in my hair and killer pear shaped diamonds by Lorraine Schwartz. (sic),” she wrote. The 28-year-old singer, who got engaged to her beau Taylor Kinney on Valentine’s Day , took to the stage at the glamorous ceremony to perform a medley from ‘The Sound of Music’. (PTI)

 

‘American Horror Story’ star Ben Woolf dies

American Horror Story: Freak Show star Ben Woolf     has died following a head injury. The as 4 feet 4     inches tall star, who played the role of Meep on the show, was hit in the head by a car mirror on Thursday night as he was crossing a street in Hollywood, reported E! News.He was taken to a hospital where he remained in critical condition until he passed away today. “Ben was one-of-a-kind, and will never be forgotten,” Woolf’s representative said. Woolf’s family said, “We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from all over the world for our beloved Ben. He touched so many hearts in his 34 years. His memory will live on within each of us and within his work.” (PTI)

 

I thought I was replacing Judi in new 007 film: Bellucci

Monica Bellucci, who has been cast alongside Dan     iel Craig in the latest Bond movie ‘Spectre’, ini    tially believed she was auditioning to replace Judi Dench. Bellucci, 50, said she had been summoned to meet director Sam Mendes to discuss a role in the upcoming film, reported Daily Telegraph.
“I just blurted out: I’m not a girl, I’m a woman, I’m a mature woman. Do I have to replace Judi Dench? ‘Why do you call me? I’m 50 years old. What am I going to do in James Bond?’,” she said. “He said, ‘For the first time in history, James Bond is going to have a story with a mature woman. The concept is revolutionary’,” she added. Bellucci added she had told Mendes he would be a “hero among women” for taking a stand for older actresses, after deciding her wanted a woman of a similar age to Bond to play alongside him. (PTI)

 

No ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ sequel: Rooney Mara

Rooney Mara, who starred in director David Fincher’s     movie adaptation of the best-selling novel ‘Girl with     the Dragon Tattoo’, says there will no sequel to the film. The 29-year-old actress starred opposite Daniel Craig in the 2011 film, reported E!Online. Fincher recently gave fans hope by suggesting the second movie was in the writing stage, but Mara doubts it will ever make it to the big screen. “I don’t think it’s going to happen. I’m sad never to do it again, but it just doesn’t seem like it’s in the cards,” she said. Dragon Tattoo was released four years ago and also starred Robin Wright, Christopher Plummer and Stellan Skarsgard. (PTI)
