CM to inaugurate CCTV surveillance system in city

SHILLONG: Chief Minister Mukul Sangma will inaugurate closed-circuit television (CCTV) based surveillance system under ‘Safe-Secure-Shillong Project’ on Thursday at Shillong Sadar Police Station Complex, here.
As part of the ‘Safe Secure Shillong’ scheme, the State police have installed CCTV cameras in 28 locations of the city.
An amount of Rs 2 crore has been sanctioned for installing CCTV cameras in Shillong alone.
