TURA: The banned GNLA has denied its involvement in Wednesday’s seizure of arms by police from near Jorabhat in Assam.
The outfit’s leader Garo Mandai Marak informed The Shillong Times that the arms shipment from Nagaland was meant for its rival outfit A’chik Matgrik Elite Force (AMEF).
“We have nothing to do with the arms shipment. We only know that it was being smuggled in by AMEF militants to strengthen themselves,” said Marak.
The AMEF outfit was formed by a group of GNLA militants led by Jack Marak who broke away from the parent  outfit and also from the ASAK group. Both AMEF and ASAK militants have been the target of the GNLA
cadres for breaking away from the organization.
