Jowai banker’s club formed

SHILLONG: A recent meeting organised by 16 banks in Jowai has led to the formation of the Jowai Bankers’ Club, the first of its kind in Meghalaya.
The club has elected Larry Shabong (BM, Canara Bank) as president, Phrangsngi Lyngdoh Mawlong (BM, Meghalaya Rural Bank) as vice president, Tenzing Nima (BM, IDBI Bank) as general secretary, and Bisharlin Kharbithai (BM, Indian Overseas Bank) as treasurer, besides other members and advisers.
