SHILLONG: Chief Minister Mukul Sangma has invited Opposition parties including the BJP for an internship in his office if they want an explanation on how Meghalaya will become a revenue-surplus State in five years.
“If they want to me explain on how we will achieve the target, I can invite them for an internship in my office,” Sangma told reporters here on Tuesday adding that the internship-offer was addressed to anyone willing to learn.
Earlier, the state unit of the BJP  had termed Sangma’s prediction that Meghalaya will become a surplus state in over five years as an utter lie.
However, Sangma slammed the BJP leaders calling them pessimists.
“I feel pity for those people who can’t be optimists and don’t dare to dream big for the people of the State,” he said adding that Government has faith in the people and resources of the State.
