SHILLONG:  On the opening day of the Budget session on Monday, the members in the Assembly will feel the vacuum left by Chokpot legislator and GNC president Clifford Marak who used to be vocal in every session.   Marak passed away on February 28.
Assembly Speaker AT Mondal recently said that he would miss Marak the most since the late legislator used to be the regular visitor to his room.
During the obituary reference on the first day of the session, the most prominent political personality who will be remembered by the House will be Marak .
During the Question Hour, and while raising motions and resolutions, Marak was the most visible face in the Assembly.
Marak was dear to both the ruling and the Opposition as it was visible from the solidarity shown by   both the Chief Minister Mukul Sangma and NPP leader PA Sangma who had rushed to his residence to pay respect to the departed soul.
