Mobile phone recovered from MPDA detainee

SHILLONG: A mobile phone was detected from an MPDA detainee lodged in Tura District jail.
Police said that MPDA detainee, Bijoy M Sangma was produced before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Tura (WGH) on March 6 and while returning back from the Court, a mobile phone with accessories was seized from his possession. Sangma had hidden the mobile phone in his shoe.
During enquiry, it transpired that the mobile phone was handed over to Bijoy M Sangma by one Tengrak Ch Sangma at the Court premises.
