SHILLONG: One person identified as Oncheng Ch Marak is alleged to have gone missing after he was accused of having unnatural sex with a nine-year-old girl at Dobasipara, Tura in West Garo Hills District last week.
The incident happened on March 7 evening after which an FIR was lodged with the Tura Police.
When contacted, West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Pravin Bakshi on Wednesday informed that the accused has been absconding.
Police had, on an earlier occasion also, charge sheeted the accused for a similar offence, the deputy commissioner informed.
Police were conducting raids at several places and investigation was on into the matter, it was informed.
