No-trust motion against Mondal

SHILLONG: The Oppo-sition moved no-confidence motion against the Assembly Speaker AT Mondal will be taken up for discussion on March 25.
The Speaker announced in the Assembly on Wednesday that he received the joint letter from Opposition members James Sangma (NPP), Witting Mawsor(HSPDP), John Leslee Sangma (Ind) and Jemno Mawthoh (UDP) pertaining to the no-trust motion.  The Speaker fixed March 25 as the day for discussion after 12 members from the Opposition stood up to fill the required quorum to take up the motion.
The Opposition members tabled the no-confidence motion against the Speaker alleging that he had not allotted sufficient time for the members to take up relevant issues in Assembly.
