Forgery
Andrew B Kharkongor lodged a complaint that one Iban Sohlang and one Jefrey Sohlang had forged his signature as Principal of Alpine College allegedly on the direction of the owner of the College Bimal Bawri.
Body recovered
On March 12, body of Weldone Kharbina (25) with the feet tied with a rope was recovered near a Toll Gate at Diengpasoh Shillong By-pass Road (EKH). The deceased was reportedly missing from Ummulong village in West Jaintia Hills since March 3.
On March 10 around 10 am, one unidentified male body was recovered from Polo Bazar, Shillong.
NGT violation
K.L. Nongbri, Addl. District Magistrate, Khliehriat, lodged a complaint that on March 12 around 3:30 pm, he detected two trucks (ML-04A-6821 & ML-04A-7221) driven by Peter Siangshai and Kyrshan Dkhar respectively, transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Khliehriat.
G. Kharmih, EAC, Khliehriat, lodged a complaint that on March 12 around 3:30 pm, he detected one truck (ML-04-6499) driven by Hanjinai Dkhar transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Khliehriat.
On March 3 night Police detected one truck (AS-18C-0356) driven by Biraj Boro transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Shallang in West Khasi Hills. Police arrested the driver and seized the truck.
Mob assault
Manadaplin D. Lyngdoh lodged a complaint that on March 11 around 9:30 pm, a mob assaulted Dapbor Lyngdoh at Pomlum, Nonglyer in East Khasi Hills. Victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Civil Hospital Shillong.
Assault
Md. Jahan Uddin lodged a complaint that on March 8 around 5:30 pm, one Nazural Islam assaulted Zahanara Bibi (22) with stick at Dugrepara village under Monabari OP in South West Garo Hills causing injuries to her. On March 9, she succumbed to her injuries.
Rape attempt
A woman lodged a complaint that on March 5 around 5 pm, one Nuzurul molested and also attempted to rape her at Babilgre village in West Garo Hills.
Mobile snatching
Jitu Ch. Das lodged a complaint that on February 25 around 10 pm, unidentified miscreants snatched one mobile phone and Rs. 500 after assaulting him at Keating Road, Shillong.
