Attack on wife
One Md. Gassan Ali allegedly attacked his wife Alina Khatoon with some chemical substance in Jhalupara area of the city on February 21 at around 1 am. The wife complained that while she was sleeping along with her children in her temporary shed at Jhalupara, her husband threw some chemical substance on her neck and fled. The woman underwent treatment at Shillong Civil Hospital.

Illegal SIM
On March 9 around 3 pm, Police conducted raids on illegal SIM cards vendors at Lad Rymbai Bazar (EJH) detected and seized 56 SIM cards from the shop of Arki Pajuh. Police arrested the shopkeeper.

Vehicle theft
On March 17 around 8.35 am, unknown miscreants stole one Mahindra Bolero (ML-01-5976) belonging to the Meghalaya Industries Department which was parked at Lower Mawprem, Shillong.
On March 13 night, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-08B-4952) belonging to Chean R Marak from Lower Mission Compound, Tura (WGH).

Accident
On March 16 around 2.30 pm, one truck (ML-06-3410) driven by Colencus Wahlang (35) fell into a gorge near Mawjymbuin Cave, Mawsynram (EKH). The driver and his helper Sanbor Jyrwa (19) sustained injuries and were removed to Shillong Civil Hospital.
On March 15 around 11 am, one Bolero Pick-up (A/F) fell into a gorge at Mawryngkneng (EKH). As a result, one occupant sustained injuries and was removed to Shillong Civil Hospital.
On March 15 around 8.30 pm, one Maruti car (ML-04B-7429) driven by Martin Khongmuid dashed against a tree at Mawmih village (EKH). As a result, driver and one female occupant of the vehicle sustained injuries and were removed to Shillong Civil Hospital.

CCTV camera stolen
K.P. Singh, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Laitkor Peak (EKH) lodged a complaint that on March 16 around 6:30 pm, unknown miscreants stole one CCTV Camera from the volley ball court of the Vidyalaya.

Piracy case
On March 13, Surojit Panja of M/s Modern Anti-Piracy Agency, Kolkata, West Bengal lodged a complaint that one Vikram K Marak, cable operator of M/s Mikkimrado Cable Network, Akonggre, Tura (WGH) was transmitting Star Pay channels in Tura town (WGH) without valid license from the company.

Body recovered
On March 18 around 11 am, body of Kreciuskre Thangkhiew (35) was recovered from Umiam Lynti Rim (EKH). On March 16, the deceased reportedly went for fishing with his friends at Umiam Lynti Rim from where he went missing around 5.30 pm.

 Fraud
Rilda Rynjah lodged a complaint that one Dishon Nongbri cheated her of Rs. 45,000 with a promise to provide a job for her son in Police Department.

One knocked down
On March 17 at around 2.30 pm, one vehicle (number not known) knocked down Ritin Khyriem (25) at Polo bazar, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.

Threat
Pelin Biam lodged a complaint that on March 16 at around 9 am, one Bait Khyllaw threatened her with dire consequences at Umlidoh (WJH).
Ming Chyrmang lodged a complaint that on March 15 at around 6.30 pm, Lowis Dkhar and Pal Dkhar threatened him with dire consequences at Jalaphet (EJH).Police arrested the accused.

NGT ban violation
On March 15, Police detected one coal laden truck (ML-06-3131) transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Thahkanar (WKH). On being signaled to stop, the truck sped away and dashed against a hillock. The driver and occupants managed to escape as Police seized the truck.

Abduction
Sahbih Laloo lodged a complaint that on March 12 at around 6.30 am, one Sanki Sungoh abducted her minor daughter (16) in his private vehicle (ML-05M-0742) from her residence at Dulong, Jowai (WJH).
