Mass awareness conducted on tuberculosis

SHILLONG: The Department of Allied Health Sciences, Martin Luther Christian University on Monday conducted a one-day programme ahead of World Tuberculosis Day on March 24 for mass awareness about the global epidemic of Tuberculosis (TB).
The programme was held at Umlyngka Community Hall, East Khasi Hills District and was attended by local residents and students from Sanshnong High School, Thomas Jerman Jones School and Philiang Memorial School, Umlyngka. A short skit was performed by students of MLCU followed by a free check-up of BP, body temperature, weight, height, pulse-rate and diet consultation.
