NONGPOH: Following the initiative taken by UDP legislator Paul Lyngdoh with regards to the hardships faced by 101 casual workers serving under the Health Department in Ri Bhoi District who have been denied their wages for the last eight months, the Ri Bhoi Youth Federation has lauded the effort of the UDP MLA.
RBYF chief B.P. Thangkhiew lauded Lyngdoh’s efforts in raising the issue in the Assembly and urging the government to address the problems of the casual worker in the Assembly.
RBYF also decried the silence of the five MLAs from Ri Bhoi on the matter and lamented that none of the legislator from the district were interested in addressing the problems faced by their own people.
